We have been waiting for it and it has finally arrived – Whooo Hoooo… CrossFit Open time is here!!!
This is our favourite time of the year and we need you to make it the best it can be. If you are still wondering whether the CrossFit Open is for you, the answer is ….. YES!!!!!! Please read our previous article – 6 Reasons to Sign up for the Open

Please note the plan for the open has changed.
Friday- 4:00pm – 5:15pm.
Open gym session will be available for those wanting to test out or complete the Open Workout. Please note you will need to be wrapped up by 5:15pm for the start of the next session. 5:15pm will be the normal WOD.
Saturday – 7:00am-9:00am
If you can make it this is the session to come too. The atmosphere of the mornings is awesome and the more people the better. We will need judges, counters & supporters so bring your families and friends to cheer you on. Don’t forget Pom Pom, signs, etc anything to help everyone get through. This session will be run in a more formal manner with a WOD brief being conducted at 7:00am. heat lists. Athletes will be run through in heats with heat allocations written on the whiteboard so be sure to get there early. Remember we can not do this alone, we need you to assist in counting, judging etc. so stick around even after you have completed you WOD.
Monday- All sessions
All sessions on Monday we will be running the CrossFit Open workout. The morning and evening sessions (5:00 & 6:00) will flow into one another so you are able to turn up anytime during the session to complete the workout, however please ensure you allow enough time to complete the workout and stretch before the 7:00am/pm. Aim to partner up to ensure you have a counter/judge as Chris and I will have to be overseeing the workout. Feel free to come and support throughout these sessions – the more the merrier.
*Please note it is the individuals responsibility to ensure they have watch the demonstration video and understand movement standards prior to completing the WOD.
Baked Potatoes/Quiche– Last year Marie did baked potatoes and baked sweet potatoes (worth coming along just for these). These sold out quickly each week so this year we will have a pre-order list on the whiteboard so that you don’t miss out. Add your name to the list if you want to ensure you get one.
After Party- Everyone is already talking about the after party. Why??? Because it is a highlight on our event calendar. Rules have been stipulated that you need to be involved in the Open somehow to join us for a night of fun and madness!!
