How do I get started? Give us a call or an email with your intent to join and we’ll arrange a time for you to come in and either check out our facility and have a chat or to book your induction session.
Do I need to be fit? Absolutely not; it is our job to make people fit. Regardless of the level of fitness you posses or the goals you have, we can accommodate your needs.
Do I need to pre-book to attend? No, you can turn up to any of our classes (see membership options for more information).
How many trainers are on each class? We have a minimum of two trainers on each class (with the exception of 12pm) each weekday.
Do you offer a free trial period? If you are interested in starting you are welcome to come and observe a class, join in and ask as many questions as you like. We don’t offer extended trial periods simply because it is inconsistent and unfair on our clients that are paying to train.
Why do I have to pay upfront for my first month?: We put a lot of time and effort into getting new members started safely and effectively and quite frankly we can’t afford to invest this time into someone who has not made any formal commitment. CrossFit takes most people a while to really start to enjoy – the first few weeks will leave you feeling beaten up and there will be a lot of movements to learn that you probably haven’t done before. We hope that the financial commitment that you have made will help you get past this hump, (3-4 weeks) where you will start to see the full benefit of what we offer.
Do you have a shower/change room? Yes.
How many times per week should I train? As a general guide, we recommend between 3-5 sessions per week for good results.
Do I need to do other training to supplement CrossFit? If your goal is to be a fit, healthy and functional human then regular and consistent CrossFit training will get you everything you need. If you have more specific goals, we will help you achieve them.
Will I get bulky doing CrossFit? CrossFit will (if your diet is on track) make you look athletic. The physique developed by CrossFit is similar to that of a gymnast.
Can I train casually? No (visitors from other gyms excepted). Good results come from frequent and consistent training. Our number one goal is to achieve results for our athletes and have set up membership options that complement this goal.
Do you offer a free trial? We offer a free try out to anyone who is interested in starting and we welcome you to check out the gym and ask any questions you may have.
Why don’t you offer a longer free trial? There are a few reasons; firstly we spend significant time with our new members assessing their strength, flexibility and coordination in addition to instructing them on safe and correct movement and good nutrition. We simply can’t afford to spend this amount of time with tyre kickers – after all this is a business and it’s what feeds our children. Secondly, it would not be fair to our existing, long term, loyal clients who have paid their way since day one.
What else do you offer other than training? We keep statistical information on attendance, offer ongoing nutritional advice, competition preparation, family fun days and social gatherings.
